01. Who I am
This website, dmitrystotyka.com, is run by Dmitry Stotyka, a freelance designer and web developer based in Bucharest, Romania. I am the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
For any privacy question or request, email dmitrystotyka@gmail.com.
02. Data I collect
Contact form: your name, email address and the text of your message, together with the page the form was sent from and the language of the site.
Direct messages: if you contact me by email, on social networks or through a freelance platform, I receive the information you choose to share.
Technical data: when you visit the site, the server automatically records standard log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time of the request.
03. How I use it
To reply to your inquiry and discuss your project; to prepare a proposal and, if we work together, to carry out the agreed work; to keep the website secure and working properly.
I do not sell your data, use it for advertising or add you to mailing lists.
04. Legal basis
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), I process your data on these grounds: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of a contract (Article 6(1), point b); my legitimate interest in answering messages and securing the website (Article 6(1), point f); compliance with legal obligations, such as accounting records (Article 6(1), point c).
05. Who receives your data
Your data is shared only with providers that help me run the website and receive messages: the hosting provider, where the website and a copy of form messages are stored, and Telegram, where form messages are delivered to me. If you email me, the message is handled by Google (Gmail). Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; such transfers rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
If we work through Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancehunt or Weblancer, that platform’s own privacy policy also applies.
06. How long I keep it
Messages and related correspondence are kept for up to two years after our last contact, unless we start working together. Contract and invoicing records are kept for as long as Romanian law requires. Server logs are deleted automatically within 30 days.
07. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email dmitrystotyka@gmail.com — I will reply within one month.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro) or with the authority in your country.
08. US residents
If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, such as California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to access, correct and delete it, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights.
I do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. The website honours the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, analytics stays off. To make a request, email dmitrystotyka@gmail.com.
10. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when the website or the services I use change. The date at the top of the page shows the current version.
